Every ending has a new beginning.

The due date for this project is peeking around the corner, but Azure is still growing happily! Even though the project will be discontinued, Azure will still stand strong and become a tall blue spruce that will shelter and protect wild life, this may be the end of a project, but Azure's life is only beginning. I plan on keeping Azure until he starts to become way too big to be supported, until then, farewell.

Figuring out Azure's height with MATH!

After doing some research, the water bottle that I used for comparison is around 9 inches tall. In the picture, Azure stands at roughly 1 and 1/4 of the water bottle. Using some simple math, we can calculate how tall Azure really is! First we calculate what 1/4 of a water bottle's height is, so we use the equation 1/4 x 9 = 2.25 inches to figure it out. Now we want to add the sum we just got to the full water bottle height to calculate Azure's total height. 9 + 2.25 = 11.25 inches tall! All we have to do now is convert that into centimeters, we know 1 inch is roughly 2.54 centimeters so we just need to multiply the two to get the answer, 11.25 x 2.54 = 28.575 centimeters tall! Azure really is a beast, at this rate he will be growing through my roof in no time!

WHY IS AZURE SO TALL

So, I went to do a routine checkup on Azure today, and I couldn't help but notice how tall he has grown. I don't have a ruler on me currently so I cannot measure his height, so here's a water bottle for comparison!

Azure's twin

Today when I was playing a game, I couldn't help but notice that inside the game there were blue spruces as well! I found that really interesting that the game incorporates different biomes and each biome is diversified with many different species of trees and wild life!

BUT THE TREE MIGHT GROW THROUGH MY HOUSE!

Relax, the simple answer is, no. The tree wont grow through your apartment/house. A fully mature blue spruce grown in the wild can be as staggering as 75 feet tall. But one that is planted in the garden or a park usually only grows up to 50 feet tall. Plus, a tree doesn't grow that tall overnight. It takes years or even decades for a tree to be able to fully mature, so there is no risk of it destroying or damaging your property!

Where does Azure come from?

We know that Azure is a Blue Spruce, but where does the blue spruce originate? After doing some research, I found out that the Blue Spruce's scientific name is Picea Pungen. The tree is native to the Rocky Mountains of the United States, it extends from Colorado to Wyoming but is widely used as an ornamental tree in many other countries.
